Training
For ALL Youth has a two part training kit which includes:
Part A – Best Practices for Recruitment and Retention
- a step by step approach to successfully finding, attracting, and retaining youth of color
- tools to help with transportation, communication, and club logistics
Training Part B – Cultural Competency Training
- a DVD with ten vignettes depicting how both explicit and subtle acts of racism play out in the world of youth soccer
- discussion guides for working through each of the vignettes with players, parents, and coaches
- a “how to” which provides the training facilitator with instructions, suggested training formats, ground rules for discussion, and other facilitation techniques
- worksheets and activity ideas to enhance the participant experience
