Sanneh Teams Up with MNUFC and Allina Health on Meal Kit initiative

Oct. 9th, 2026

Sanneh staff pose for a group photo with volunteers from Allina Health and Minnesota United FC after preparing meal kits at our Nutritional Service warehouse.

At The Sanneh Foundation, creating healthy communities starts with meeting people where they are. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or at our food distributions, ensuring local families have access to the resources they need is at the core of our work. That is why we are thrilled to partner with Minnesota United FC and Allina Health to launch a collaborative meal kit initiative that will improve our Nutritional Service efforts.

Volunteers from Allina Health & Minnesota United FC also joined Sanneh staff and volunteers for a wonderful day of food distribution at Corcoran Park.

The annual partnership kicked off on October 7th with a volunteer meal kit packing event featuring recipes co-created by Allianz Field Executive Chef Adam Reitsma and Jesse Haas, MS, CNS, LN, an integrative nutritionist with Allina Health’s Penny George Institute for Health and Healing.

MNUFC brought the fun to Friday’s food distribution. They setup a DJ booth and an inflatable soccer goal for the event!

Following the Oct. 7 meal-kit packing event, our staff, partners, and community volunteers distributed the newly packed meal kits—alongside fresh produce, healthy proteins, and pantry staples—during our weekly community food distribution on Friday, October 9th at Corcoran Park in South Minneapolis.

MNUFC’s PK Loon also made an appearance at Friday’s food distribution!

This collaboration with Allina Health and MNUFC builds on a shared commitment to youth development and community health across the Twin Cities. This initiative directly supports our broader Nutritional Services Program, helping us deepen the connection between proper nutrition, physical activity, and overall community well-being.
