featured guests

the night’s emcee

  • Chris Reece is the weekday evening meteorologist on KSTP-TV’s 5 Eyewitness News, delivering weather forecasts each weekday at 5, 6, and 10 p.m.

He joined the station in late 2022 after stints in Kentucky and Wisconsin — including as a weekend and morning meteorologist — and in 2024 earned the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal, as well as approval from the National Weather Association.

Chris has garnered regional recognition for his work, winning multiple Emmy Awards for his on-air weathercasting and quickly becoming a beloved presence for viewers across the Twin Cities.

Beyond his meteorology career, Chris is passionate about mentorship, volunteering time with youth through outreach programs, and encouraging young people — especially teens and young adults — to reach their potential.

As longtime supporter of The Sanneh Foundation, Chris brings warmth, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to community when stepping into the role of emcee for Gala4Goals 2026.

the after party

  • DJ Ray Mills is a Minneapolis-based, open-format DJ whose versatility spans clubs, radio, weddings, corporate events — and beyond.

For nearly a decade, Ray has served as the official DJ for Minnesota Vikings at home games — bringing energy and hometown pride to crowds of fans across stadiums.

He’s also supported Minnesota Twins games, made appearances at high-profile venues (from clubs like 1OAK in Las Vegas to internationally in Cabo and Tulum), and spun music for major touring acts when they come through Minneapolis.

Known for curating vibes tailored to each crowd — whether a lively corporate party, a club night, or a stadium event — Ray brings professionalism, breadth, and above all, energy.

We’re thrilled to welcome DJ Ray Mills to the VIP Lounge at Gala4Goals 2026 — where his mix of experience, versatility, and hometown roots will set the perfect soundtrack for an unforgettable night.

One or two sentences about what our mission or this recognition means to you

It’s an honor to be recognized by the Sanneh Foundation with the lifetime achievement award, as their values reflect our commitment to serving this community. TSF actively connects with young people, supporting them with tools to succeed and lead in the world. Tony’s vision has helped our grandsons and so many young people understand the importance of resilience and fairness through athletics and service.

Cornell: This moment is a testament to one of our strongest beliefs: the unity of a community supporting each other, looking out for the future, and believing in all of us.

A favorite quote or guiding principle

Cornell: Always know who you are, remember who they are, everyone is important.

Wenda: Do onto others as you would have them do onto you.

A highlight or accomplishment we’re most proud of

Wenda: Our greatest accomplishments are embodied in our children and our grandchildren because they will take us into the future. I'm so proud of their character and continued leadership in this community as we’ve seen them live these important values in the world.

Cornell: It’s a blessing to be able to reflect on where we’ve been, where we’re going, and hope that we will continue to care for each other as a community and a nation.

One fun or personal detail (e.g., a hobby or something you love about your community)

Wenda: Growing up in California, I love watching the first full snow.

Cornell: I’ve always loved to study horology, so I am fascinated by watches and measuring time.
